Carisbrooke Castle Museum
Carisbrooke Castle Museum is an Accredited local history museum run by an independent Charitable Trust, sited within a medieval castle in the care of English Heritage.
It was founded in 1898 by HRH Princess Beatrice, Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter, as a memorial to her husband, Prince Henry of Battenberg.
Classic Boat Museum
The Classic Boat Museum has been telling visitors and Islanders its wonderful maritime story since 1996. Today the museum is growing with a new location opening this summer to exhibit its impressive collection of classic yachts and lifeboats.
County Record Office
The Record Office keeps church registers of baptisms, marriages and burials dating from 1539 onwards.
Cowes Maritime Museum
The Museum displays a selection of objects and images which help to tell the story of Cowes and its important maritime heritage.
Dimbola Museum & Galleries
Dimbola Lodge was the home of the celebrated Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. It is now a Museum and Gallery dedicated to her life and work, which also showcases contemporary exhibitions from photographers around the globe.
Dinosaur Isle
Dinosaur Isle is a purpose-built interactive museum housing the space and facilities to properly display and conserve the rich geological collections.
Museum of Island History
The Museum of Island History at the historic Guildhall on Newport High Street provideds a fascinating exploration of Island history from the time of the dinosaurs to the present day.
Newport Roman Villa
Discovered in 1926 when the owner of a nearby house sank foundations for a garage, subsequent excavations revealed extensive remains of a late Romano-British farmhouse built around 280 AD.
Quay Arts
The Quay Arts Centre is situated in a converted 19th-Century brewery warehouse complex at the head of the River Medina in the centre of Newport.
